Nvidia has introduced its GeForce 3D Vision bundle consisting of 3D wireless glasses and in India. In January, Nvidia had showed off its GeForce 3D Vision at the Consumer Electronics Show 2009. The GeForce 3D Vision bundle includes battery powered 3D wireless glasses and infrared emitter that acts as the connecting point between user's computer and the 120Hz display. Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision will be available for Rs 11, 490.
The expensive 3D gaming didn't take off really well in the past and now to bring the 3D vision to real life, in comes Nvidia's GeForce 3D Vision kit. This kit consists of special 3D glasses that are wireless and battery powered to offer ultra-wide viewing angles with their high tech active shutter glasses. These 3D glasses can be freely used at up to 15 feet distance supported via infrared communication through the emitter.
There is no need to remove the batteries frequently for charging since the 3D glasses support USB charging option. If the glasses are left unused for 10 minutes, the internal circuit shuts of the signals automatically for saving battery power.
GeForce 3D Vision requires 120Hz LCD Monitors or TVs like DLP 1080p HDTVs for flicker-free stereoscopic 3D gaming and viewing experience. Also, the computer requires minimum Nvidia GeForce 9800GT card for graphical processing. The computer must run (32-bit/64-bit) Windows Vista or Windows 7 with dual-core Intel or AMD processor, 2GB RAM and 100MB free hard disk space.
The IR emitter allows adjusting depth for better 3D viewing without any hotkeys.
Nvidia boasts of over 350 games support for stereoscopic 3D viewing that is enabled automatically with the software packed with the kit. No additional patch or fix needs to be downloaded. Check the full list of supported games here.
